This is the soundtrack to the film Young Adam, based on the 1954 novel by Scottish beat writer Alex Trocchi. Starring Ewan MacGregor and Tilda Sinton, and featuring this original composition by David Byrne. Byrne's hope was that this score would capture the weird, tentative vibe that seemed to emanate from a town in the midst of both a cultural revival and "drinking to throw up" imbibing. The result is a seamless interpretation of music and film. Contributors include members of Mogwai, Belle And Sebastian, Appendix Out, Reindeer Section, Snow Patrol and Future Pilot AKA.
