Featuring writing and lead vocal contributions from all four members, The Jayhawks’ extraordinary new album, XOXO, is the most diverse and wide-ranging in the group’s storied history. Rather than marking a sonic departure, though, the collection signals a sharpening of focus for the band, an elevation in understanding of who they are and what they do best. In classic Jayhawks fashion, the songs here mix the influence of American roots music with British invasion and jangly power-pop, but there’s a newfound vitality at play, as well, an invigoration of confidence and energy that could only come with the injection of fresh blood. The result is an album that, much like the band’s lush harmonies, brings multiple distinctive voices together into a singular whole, a collection that, ironically enough, finds unity in individuality and identity in reinvention.
“This album feels like a new lease on life for us,” explains Louris. “I don’t know what the future holds, but this band is full of great songwriters who deserve to be heard, and my only regret is that we didn’t do something like this sooner.”
THE HU "The Gereg" deluxe edition includes six additional tracks. Following the success of the 2019 debut release, The Gereg features viral rock hits "Wolf Totem" and "Yuve Yuve Yu", with additional features from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach and Danny Case of From Ashes To New, whose version of "Yuve Yuve Yu" reached top 10 at rock radio. Hailing from Mongolia, The HU are unlike any other rock band in the world, introducing their new style of music they call "hunnu rock" - from the Mongolian root word for human being, "hu". Since their release, the band has been #1 on the Billboard World Albums Chart, #1 on the Top New Artist Albums, and Top 5 Globally on Hard Rock Music Album Charts (US, Canada, UK, and more). They have toured the world extensively, with sold out shows in Europe, the UK, and the United States. The deluxe CD includes the full album, as well as 3 acoustic tracks and 3 featured versions.
Double vinyl LP pressing. 2020 release. Unfollow the Rules is Rufus Wainwright's ninth of original material, his first since Out of the Game (2012), and his first with BMG. The album was produced by Mitchell Froom, and other contributors include Matt Chamberlain, Jim Keltner, and Blake Mills. Includes "Trouble in Paradise", "Damsel in Distress", "Peaceful Afternoon", and "Alone Time". There's still a sense of mischief in Wainwright's songs, but there's also abundant passion, honesty and a kind of fearlessness pervading this album. He pushes the boundaries of pop with these tracks, which were mostly recorded in single takes, and his vocals are at their soaring, sublime best.
Double LP- Recorded at SOLD OUT Two Nights at the Historic Ryman Auditorium in February 2019. First Live Album! Current CMA Duo Of The Year! 12 Tracks including the hit songs- "It Ain't My Fault", "Shoot Me Straight", "21 Summer" and the #1 Song- "Stay A Little Longer". Brothers Osborne currently reigns as three-time CMA Vocal Duo of the Year in addition to being named ACM Vocal Duo of the Year the past two years. Overall, Brothers Osborne have collected four CMA and five ACM trophies.
2020 release. Brett Eldredge knew he needed to dial back to dial in on his album Sunday Drive. His journey to new music started alone with just a flip phone, Polaroid camera, notebook and guitar by his side. After reexamining both himself and the world around him, Eldredge sought out producers who shared his vision. His search led him to Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, the Grammy-winning duo behind Kacey Musgrave's Golden Hour. A visit together to his hometown of Paris, IL preceded weeks holed up in Chicago's intimate Shirk Studios, where Sunday Drive came to life.
On July 10, Harvest Records will release Donna Missal's new album, Lighter - the follow-up to her 2018 full-length debut, This Time, which has amassed nearly 24 million combined global streams to date. She supported This Time with a sold-out, 20-date U.S. headline tour, and Donna has also played numerous festivals - including Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo - and toured with such artists as King Princess, Lewis Capaldi, Bishop Briggs, K.Flay, Joywave, Sir Sly, and Barns Courtney.
The Monkees first official live album, recorded live in March 2019. Features 25 hits and fan favorites spanning their entire 50+ year career. Spotlights many of Nesmith's finest compositions including several songs that were never performed live during the Monkees' heyday like "St. Matthew" and "Auntie's Municipal Court". - The Monkees are an American rock band that released music in their original incarnation between 1965 and 1971, with subsequent reunion albums and tours in the decades that followed. They were formed in Los Angeles in 1965 by Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider for the American television series The Monkees, which aired from 1966 to 1968.
The fourth album by Nashville-based Sunshine Pop band. This twelve-song-set is band’s boldest work to date, breaking sonic barriers while maintaining lush melodies and artistic influences. Key tracks include: “Ruby,” “Look To The Horizon,” “One Drop Of Rain,” “Somewhere Else”. Three previous albums: “Freedom Wind” (2008), “Grand Hotel” (2012) and “Together” (2016). Early critical acclaim led to placements in film, television and advertising, as well as favorable press in both print and online. Musically adjacent to successful pop artists from the 1960s, 70s like The Beach Boys, Turtles, Association, Grass Roots. Brainchild of Charleston, SC native Jason Brewer, the only constant “member” of The Explorers Club over the band’s lifespan. New contributors to this incarnation of The Explorers Club include Shane Tutmarc (Dolour, Sean Nelson) and Austin, TX based songwriter, Will Courtney. Songwriting partnership
Freedom - No Compromise is Little Steven's third solo album, released in 1987. The record leaned heavily to dance-rock, verging in places on world music. Bruce Springsteen and Ruben Blades join Van Zandt on lead vocals with "Native American" and "Bitter Fruit", respectively. The classic album has been remastered on CD and now includes a new, never-before-seen `Live at The Ritz 1987' bonus DVD.
Breakout artist Kiana Ledé dropped debut album, KiKi, via Republic Records earlier this year. Features hit single “Mad At Me” which is climbing the Rhythm radio charts. In 2019, Ledé’s track "EX" achieved RIAA Gold Certification and her YouTube channel –where her career began by posting viral cover songs like “One Dance x Needed Me mashup”– surpassed 1M+ subscribers. KiKi will be available on vinyl June 5th. Double LP.
Ray Wylie Hubbard is the secret handshake amongst those who know. Earthy, real, funky, unabashed, his 16 album catalog has been swapped and played on the road for decades. That passion for the man who’s as much a renegade poet as a roadhouse saint brought together an eclectic mix of guests for Co-Starring, his first ever high-profile label release. Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, Pam Tillis, the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson, and Ronnie Dunn were just a few who clamored to jam with the wizened icon.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, with a sound stretching from 60s-70s afrobeat exotica to Fela Kuti-esque repetition and proto-garage rhythmic fury, there's an enticing lost world exoticism to the music of Bananagun. As punchy, vibrant singles "Do Yeah" and "Out of Reach" have proven over the past year, they are no revivalists. Debut album, The True Story of Bananagun, makes a giant leap forward with their outward-looking blend of global tropicalia. Vinyl packaging includes download code.
Inter Arma will be releasing a covers record on 7/10 via Relapse. IT was recorded in between tours in support of their critically acclaimed 2019 release Sulphur English. The record, named after the band's practice space, was one again tracked at Dark Art Audio in Madison, TN. They show off their wide array of influences, tackling covers by Nine Inch Nails, Prince, Cro-Mags and more.
