Raleigh, North Carolina's Whiskeytown plays stripped-down rock with a traditional country edge. Singer/guitarist Ryan Adams' literate lyrics and punk roots combined with guitarist/singer Phil Wandscher's Keith Richards-inspired licks create a volatile brew. Soaring above their dynamic give-and-take is the fiddle of Caitlin Cary, who also contributes vocals. Their Outpost Recordings' debut, produced by Jim Scott (Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Danzig), features the 1st single: "16 Days."
