Kurt Vile's 'Philadelphia's been good to me' illustrates his love for his home city, where he still resides and records most of his music. This album includes his distinct jangly guitars, soaring instrumental passages, and lyrics that are both cheeky and sentimental at the same time. 2-LP pressed on Schuylkill River blue vinyl.
‘The Boys of Dungeon Lane’ is a collection of rare and revealing glimpses into memories never-before shared, along with some newly inspired love songs, from one of the most culturally significant figures of our time. These extraordinary new songs find Paul writing with rare openness about his childhood in post-war Liverpool, the resilience of his parents, and early adventures shared with George Harrison and John Lennon long before the world had ever heard of Beatlemania.

Triple-Gatefold trans. Milky clear 2LP & LP-Booklet (US version) The Moth is Devin Townsend's most ambitious work to date, a project that has existed in his mind as his life's work - an immersive orchestral, choral, and theatrical project over a decade in the making. What began as a distant vision became reality when Townsend was invited to collaborate with the North Netherlands' Orchestra and Choir. Unlike his previous genre-hopping worlds, The Moth was conceived from the ground up as a fully orchestrated narrative. Townsend spent years relearning musical fundamentals to write the score himself: harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration rebuilt from scratch, expertly assisted by Joseph Stevenson. The result is a meticulously crafted, emotionally driven piece where every instrument and voice has space to speak. Recorded across more than ten countries, the album brings together an extraordinary global cast: the aforementioned North Netherlands Orchestra and Choir, long-time collaborators Darby Todd, Mike Keneally, James Leach, and guests including Steve Vai, Anneke Van Giersbergen & Lynn Wu (Ou). Hundreds of musicians, engineers, mixers and artists contributed to the project's massive creative ecosystem. At it's core, The Moth is about transformation. Through it's soaring arrangements and intimate moments, the work explores self-acceptance, surrender, and the courage to face discomfort without turning away. The Moth is about the journey-but it is also about arrival. The Moth will be available on several formats including Ltd Deluxe 3CD+Blu-ray Artbook that includes the album on CD1, 'The Moth - The Afterlife' on CD2 & 'The Moth - The War (Live)' on CD3. The Blu-ray includes the full 'The Moth - The War' live film, as well as Dolby Atmos & High Resolution Stereo Mixes of the 'The Moth' and 'The Moth - The Afterlife'. It will also be available as Limited 2CD Edition (including 'The Moth-The Afterlife' on CD2), Standard CD Jewelcase and as Gatefold Triple-Gatefold 180g 2LP & Fold-Out LP-booklet, as well as digitally.

Recorded in an intimate hometown setting in doylestown pa, 'Reconcile at the tile works, recorded live' captures Anthony Green in a rare, up-close performance that leans into the emotional core of his songwriting. With minimal, stripped-back arrangements, the focus stays on the songs themselves-highlighting the immediacy of Green's voice and the connection he's built with listeners over the years. The setlist draws from across his catalog, blending fan-favorite material from Circa Survive with selections from his solo work, alongside previously unreleased songs. These versions feel raw and present, giving familiar tracks a different kind of weight while introducing new material in it's earliest form.

Recorded at the Camden Palace Theatre, London on 29th April 1985 featuring Jimmie Vaughan: guitar, Kim Wilson: vocals, harmonica, Preston Hubbard: double bass, electric bass, Fran Christina: drums. The Fabulous Thunderbirds were formed in 1974 by guitarist Jimmie Vaughan and vocalist Kim Wilson. Following the release of the band's fourth album, (T-Bird Rhythm) in 1982, they were without a record deal for the next four years and during this time Keith Ferguson left and was replaced by Preston Hubbard. The band signed to a new record deal with Epic and briefly moved to London to record their next album (Tuff Enuff) with Dave Edmunds producing, which is when this recording was made.
Orange County’s SOCIAL DISTORTION returns with its first album in 15 years with Born To Kill. Armed with 11 urgent songs, Mike Ness continues to build on the mystique that SOCIAL DISTORTION is more than just a punk band.
Throughout the collection, Ness revisits the sounds of the 1970s, his formative adolescent years. For many, Born To Kill is a return to form, but instead, it’s a continuation of the bar of excellence that SOCIAL DISTORTION and, in turn, Ness has long been praised for.
Born To Kill is a body of work that will live long in the SOCIAL DISTORTION catalog. Songs like the rowdy title track that serves as the album’s mission statement, along with the riff-laden “Partners in Crime,” the nostalgic “The Way Things Were,” and rollicking “Tonight” are songs that fit in across any of SOCIAL DISTORTION’s various eras. Now nearly five decades into its career and with a remarkable catalog spanning nearly three generations, SOCIAL DISTORTION has no intention of slowing down any time soon.
The 3rd collaborative album between Les Claypool & Sean Ono Lennon (the previous sold over 150,000 combined) is an elaborate concept record reflecting on morality, the warnings of A.I., and the slippery slope of optimization without empathy. Told across 14 songs - which ooze with classic psychedelic / progressive rock stylings - and the accompanying comic book by Rich Ragsdale, The Great Parrot-Ox and The Golden Egg of Empathy is a peak for both The Claypool-Lennon Delirium and rock music at large.

Linda Perry’s “Let It Die Here” is a raw, spiritual reckoning, a journey through inherited pain, grief, and redemption. Across seventeen tracks that blend confessional poetry, cinematic rock, and vulnerable introspection, Perry confronts the ghosts of her past — mothers, lovers, and the darker corners of self.
The record moves from the streetlight confessions of “Balboa Park” to the searing surrender of “Let It Die Here,” culminating in “Albatross,” a release from the weight she has carried her whole life. It is an album about release, letting go of guilt, embracing imperfection, and finding beauty in survival.
The follow-up album to Stephen Sanchez's debut album ANGEL FACE with the global smash, “Until I Found You,” is finally here – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! On the new record, Stephen muses about love in its many forms – partners, friends, neighbors, and even strangers – brought to life by rich vocals and a technicolor pop sound. The title track epitomizes the album’s themes, as Stephen proclaims the importance of showing love to others, even (and especially) when they may not be expressing the same.
How do we sit in the unrest of the world without jumping to conclusions on how to fix it?
That is one of the themes behind Amy Grant's new single and opening track, “The 6th Of January (Yasgur’s Farm)” from her upcoming album The Me That Remains.
While the title could indicate a stance on the political spectrum, it is quite the opposite. The song asks the question, haven't we all lost our way? With references to the idealistic era of Woodstock and the hope for something better, the song is more of a question than a commentary. Says Amy, “We operate in the world around us and sometimes neglect the power of what we have in our choices and how those choices affect the world around us”.
Sonically, the song is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, yet the lyric and message is timeless.
“I want to be present for what emerges in my time”, says Amy,“ and the song observes life and the unrest many of us feel yet knowing we are
shaping the world around us daily. Maybe life and problem solving is more of ‘we’ than ‘me’”.
The song’s lyrics point to the fact that all of us still have a ways to go in solving the unrest but you have to sit in it, see another’s lens of how they perceive the world, and know that we are stronger as ‘we’.
With references to Woodstock, Harper’s Ferry and John Lennon, the song invokes a conversation that all is not lost, but if we can choose to look through a lens other than just our own, maybe there is hope to come together and find the way forward through the unrest.
Is Quebec the best album from Ween? Opinions will vary, but it is certainly up there as one of the finest from the brothers Ween. Long out of print, this new colored vinyl reissue of the originalalbum sees it spread across 2LPs and cut at 45rpm for maximum sound quality. Featuring "Transdermal Celebration", "Chocolate Town", "Tried and True" and more.

Phish New Year's Eve 1995, Live At MSG Fans consider it one of Phish's best shows and the band considers it one of their top five concerts. MUNA’s journey has always been about holding space for the complex, messy, ecstatic realities of life, and with their fourth album, Dancing On The Wall, they’ve never been sharper, darker, or more exhilarating. Emerging from the sparkly, confetti-strewn heights of their 2022 self-titled record, MUNA now channel the anxious, uncertain energy of living in a Los Angeles defined by political tension, environmental decay, and the quiet pressures of millennial precarity. The result is a record that feels both intimate and spectacular, a pop world built with teeth, wit, and emotional resonance, a soundtrack for hearts simultaneously on fire and observing the chaos around them.
Across the record, MUNA explores desire, intimacy, and connection against a backdrop of a world in flux. There’s a quiet reckoning throughout the album with how to keep living, loving, and reaching for one another while bearing witness to political brutality and systemic violence and how joy survives without denial. Tracks like “Wannabeher” capture the dizzying thrill of stepping fully into someone else’s fantasy, while “Why Do I Get A Good Feeling” lingers long after the beat ends, a meditation on fleeting joy and suspended possibilities. The album closes with “Buzzkiller,” a stark reckoning with desire and its aftermath, the ache of achieving what you wanted only to realise new questions, doubts, and hungers remain.
Their previous work, including the viral hit “Silk Chiffon,” has earned hundreds of millions of streams and widespread acclaim, alongside TV appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Good Morning America. The band also maintains a devoted following across TikTok, Instagram, and Spotify.
The record is produced by Naomi McPherson, with their trademark attention to detail blending effortlessly with bandmate Josette Maskin’s well-honed behind-the-scenes pop technique to create living, breathing worlds for lead singer Katie Gavin’s incisive lyricism and signature voice. Dancing On The Wall blends euphoric sonic landscapes with sharp, human storytelling. The album reflects a fiercely self-directed creative process, one shaped by instinct, trust, and total artistic control. It feels lived-in, urgent, and cinematic, a reflection of a generation navigating uncertainty while refusing to let go of joy. With this album, MUNA proves once again that pop can be daring, intimate, and socially conscious all at once: a record that doesn’t just capture the moment, but distills it into a world you want to inhabit.

They Call Us The Lucky Ones is a road-worn portrait of modern Americana — songs about movement, memory, love, and survival, exploring the space between freedom and consequence where highways replace homes and connection becomes the true measure of success. The album tells stories of outsiders and drifters, chosen family and lost friends, broken systems and restless ambition — and the ghosts we carry no matter how far we run.
Yet for all its hard-earned perspective, the record carries an undeniable sense of hope: a clarity that comes from a life lived in motion, the humor found along the way, and the simple joy of playing music with people you trust. It’s a record that knows how to have a good time without losing its soul.
This collection of ten songs finds Ryan Bingham at his best — where life isn’t always about perfection or redemption, but about connection. Because no matter how far you go, how fast you run, or how loud the music gets, all that matters is the people and stories you carry with you along the way.

Evolution can be ugly and beautiful, painful and euphoric. An Undying Love For A Burning World is the first new release from Neurosis in a decade, and a potent statement of intent and rebirth-one that marks the first new steps of resolve and resilience. An Undying Love For A Burning World is an epic album of colossal hypnotism-beautiful, fearsome and utterly compelling in a way that only Neurosis can be. Aaron Turner (Sumac, Isis) joins the band on vocals and guitar, a name whose legacy is intertwined with the band's own and a true kindred spirit. Neurosis have never been afraid of change, and here they embrace endless regeneration, surrendering to the emotional exorcism through heaviness and distortion that their music incites. Just as the universe tends towards balance, Neurosis' cacophony of noise, rhythm and dissonance always resolves towards moments of beauty. The addition of Turner's powerful vocals and wildly creative and unhinged approach to guitar proves to be a vital force as Neurosis find themselves again at the mercy of evolution and expression. The album was recorded by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City, Sumac, and Great Falls) at Studio Litho in Seattle during three weekends this winter, and mixed in three days just six weeks before release at Evan's Antisleep Audio in Oakland. Neurosis will play their first show in seven years on the traditional lands of the Blackfeet Nation in Montana as part of the Fire In The Mountains festival by special invitation of Firekeeper Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to reducing youth suicide in Indian Country.

Inspired by the classic Bay Area thrash metal scene, Game Over mix those influences with modern sounds and a very distinctive personality, which the new album displays in full force. These 9 brand-new tracks are made of sharp riffs, groovy rhythms and super-fast guitar solos, with lyrics ranging from the horror imaginary of the Eighties b-movies to social commentary and introspective thoughts. 'Burst Into The Quiet' has been produced, mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni (DGM) at Domination Studios and features a beautiful cover by Mario Lopez.
In Dying Light: The Beast, you step back into Kyle Crane's skin, but he's no longer the man he once was. Years of experiments have left him torn between fragile humanity and a monstrous power that he can barely control. Every light, every shadow, every choice feels dangerous. The forests and ruins of Castor Woods don't just set the stage, they breathe, they watch, and they punish the reckless. This is survival stripped to the bone, where horror is not just outside, but inside you.Olivier Deriviere's powerful and capturing score for Dying Light: The Beast doesn't just accompany Crane's journey, it is his voice. Sometimes it whispers in empty rooms, fragile and broken, sometimes it roars with distorted rhythms and pounding drums when the Beast takes over. Between silence and sound, the music pulls you deeper into Kyle's fractured soul, making every step and every heartbeat part of the story. It's not just a soundtrack, it's the echo of a man losing, and maybe finding, himself.

This album represents one ideal that Seiichi Nakamura ultimately arrived at. His saxophone, flying freely like a bird, liberates the listener and leads them into a new world.
This duet date from 1990 demonstrates the deep blues feeling and technical mastery Archie Shepp has on the tenor saxophone. Comprised of four standards - 'Things Ain't What They Used to Be,' 'Body and Soul,' 'Pannonica,' and 'Round Midnight' - this set is one of Shepp's most enjoyable ever. The reasons are myriad, but it is in large part due to the fluid, loping bass of Richard Davis. Recorded in a club in front of a live audience, Shepp digs deep into his own history of influential tenor players and comes out not wanting, but on par with them, from Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis to Sonny Rollins to John Coltrane. His playing here is big, meaty, and warm, full of subtle emotions as well as bleating cries. Davis' sense of time and melody is nearly incredible on the title track and on 'Round Midnight.' The interplay Shepp shares with him is tasty, coming from fragmentary elements in Monk's changes; Shepp and Davis move around the lyric and cut to the heart of the tune's color and ambiguity. It's a haunting version and one that offers a completely different reading of the tune over 17 minutes. On 'Pannonica,' Shepp's blues feeling comes out of Ben Webster as well as Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis and his soloing is full of warmth, humor, and a ragged sort of elegance. This - like Shepp's date with Horace Parlan, Goin' Home - is a major addition to the saxophonist's catalog.
Since first bursting onto the scene with her classic Number One hit singles 'Can The Can' and 'Devil Gate Drive', Suzi Quatro has sold over 55 million records worldwide and is recognised as a true rock 'n' roll legend and pioneering icon who never did 'gender'. Across a career spanning more than five decades, Suzi has inspired generations of artists including Debbie Harry, Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, KT Tunstall, and many more. She is also renowned for her acclaimed acting career, including theatre and T.V. series, most notably her three-season iconic role as Leather Tuscadero in Happy Days (for which she received more fan mail than The Fonz). Her extraordinary catalogue of hits includes '48 Crash', 'Can The Can', 'Devil Gate Drive', 'Daytona Demon', 'The Wild One', 'If You Can't Give Me Love', 'She's In Love With You', 'Rock Hard', and the US million-seller 'Stumblin' In', her duet with Chris Norman, which became a worldwide million seller again in 2024. In 2019, she began collaborating with her son, Richard Tuckey (producer, co-writer, guitarist) and their creative partnership now reaches it's third chapter with the release of FREEDOM, their third album together. "It's all about getting back to who you are, and it applies universally. We all wear masks to get by in this world. For me it's all about being comfortable in your own skin, having nothing to prove to anyone, and not accepting any BS! This is the journey this album takes you on. Here I am, warts and all. Take it or leave it. Choose yourself... and finally FREEDOM. Which also applies to the world we live in today. A very important word, a very important attitude and very important reality... 'FREEDOM'!" - Suzi Quatro - Along with the single "Freedom', the new album also includes a duet with fellow Detroit native, Alice Cooper, on a rockling duet of the MC5's classic 'Kick Out The Jams'. The album release coincides with Suzi's 2026 tour - at the age of 75, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll shows absolutely no signs of slowing down - if anything, she is busier, bolder and more driven than ever. Produced by Richard Tuckey, and mastered by Christian Wright at Abbey Road Studios. Pressed on 140g vinyl, with a printed-inner bag featuring the lyrics and a sleeve note from Suzi.
Mal Waldron's first tribute to Billie Holiday, titled Left Alone, was recorded in 1959, mere months before the singer's death. He returned to salute the legendary vocalist on several occasions since then, with this recording likely being his final tribute, recorded less than a year before his own death. Waldron, who worked with Holiday during her last years, is intimately familiar with her takes of the six standards heard on this disc, along with her own 'Lady Sings the Blues.' Archie Shepp's often gritty tenor sax is reminiscent of the texture of Holiday's voice, yet he perfectly complements Waldron's lush piano. They also pack a punch with their stark performance of 'Left Alone' (Shepp's occasional reed squeaks seem deliberate, as if to imitate breaks in her voice). Waldron also recites Holiday's lyrics set to his composition at the conclusion of the LP. Shepp switches to soprano sax for an emotional take of 'Everything Happens to Me' and 'I Only Have Eyes for You,' with the latter song sounding as if the unheard singer is being ignored by her love interest. Shepp's 'Blues for 52nd Street' is both sassy and swinging. This instrumental salute to Billie Holiday is one of the best albums ever to honour her memory.

Noah Gundersen has been writing and recording music since he was 13, working his way from teenage hardcore to indie rock to the creation of his own distinctive strain of bold, genre-busting songcraft. Ben Chapman is a road warrior who has spent the previous three years in a whirlwind of activity — writing songs for friends like Hayes Carll, Brent Cobb, and Marcus King; making his Grand Ole Opry debut; and releasing three acclaimed albums of country-fried funky-tonk, but nothing could have prepared him for what 2025 would bring him. His new record 'Feet on Fire' captures that period of wild transition, with songs inspired by Chapman's marriage to fellow songwriter Meg McRee and the arrival of the couple's first child. On songs like the guitar-driven title track, Chapman mixes Pink Floyd atmosphere with Crazy Horse crunch, showcasing the full spread of his musical influences. Elsewhere, he tips his hat to his southern roots with the laidback, loping "Out in the Country" and the Stax-sized soul ballad "Missing You." Produced by Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Anderson East, Feet on Fire captures Ben Chapman as we've never heard him before: his back against the wall and his heart full, determined not only to meet the challenges up ahead, but to write about the process, too.

Twice Grammy-nominated, Mercury Prize and BRIT Award-winning artist Arlo Parks announces her new album, Ambiguous Desire, due April 3rd via Transgressive Records. Ambiguous Desire is Parks at her most confident and experimental, supplanting live band sessions for modular synths, Ableton plugins and samplers that channel the frenetic, vibrant spaces she was immersed in, all while spotlighting the acclaimed poetry and lyricism she’s beloved for. Reflecting on the making of the record, Parks shares, "I danced more than ever as I made this record, I made more friends than ever too, found myself in the weird underbelly of New York juke nights, unleashed, laughed and laughed and laughed. This record has desire at its centre. Desire is a life force, it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum - we are all alive because there is something or someone we want - desire is an engine. But it is also mysterious, tangled, random, enlightening and HUMAN." Parks crafted the album with producer Baird (Brockhampton, Kevin Abstract). Their process unfolded between NYC’s vibrant, community-rooted nightlife and long, introspective days spent in Baird’s downtown loft. The result is Parks’ most vulnerable, self-affirming, and euphoric work to date.
Whether he knows it or not, every man lives by a code. And for country provocateur Paul Cauthen, that code is simple. Always bet on yourself. A singer-songwriter with a well-documented distaste for playing by anyone else’s rules, the East Texas native spent two decades clawing his way through the country underground, embodying the independent spirit with a monolithic Big Velvet vocal. Fusing classic-country grit, gospel power, and a rhinestoned rock edge, four previous albums proclaimed his singular style with a booming baritone and near-biblical swagger. Taught to sing by his grandfather in a Church of Christ, Cauthen hit the scene with the duo Sons of Fathers in 2009, before My Gospel, Room 41, Country Coming Down, and Black on Black unveiled a vulnerable, fire-and-brimstone songwriter with brazen Texas attitude – craving deliverance, yet possessed by a “bird dog” instinct for theatrical rapture. Cauthen has toured the world, collaborating with Margo Price, Orville Peck, Cody Jinks, and Lana Del Rey. And with favorites like “Cocaine Country Dancing,” “Fuck You Money,” and his GOLD-certified collab with Shaboozey on “Last Of My Kind,” he counts 416 million global streams. Cauthen’s fifth album, Book of Paul, takes him further down his path of utterly authentic country music; fearless, proud, and with two middle fingers in the air. Co-writing 12 of 13 tracks, the troubadour confesses to his wild side and wrestles with the sin. He spares no detail – and makes no compromise.

VOLUMES: ONE, the first non-studio release from Bon Iver, captures 10 distinctive live performances, recorded between 2019 and 2023, showcasing Justin Vernon and his band at their most whole. There’s a warmth and exuberance across the album, as well as the sort of muscular sound you can really only get at a live show. For the uninitiated and die-hards alike, these recordings could well be the defining versions of the tracks, no doubt made possible through the essential live engineering of Xandy Whitesel and performances from bandmates Jenn Wasner, Sean Carey, Michael Lewis, Matthew McCaughan, and Andrew Fitzpatrick.
Vernon began working on VOLUMES: ONE in 2020, and he spent a considerable amount of time combing through concerts to pull out the right songs to define Bon Iver. “This is what we became,” Vernon comments. “This is really us at our best. This is it.” VOLUMES: ONE, as a result, is something greater than a compilation or live album. It’s entirely new but still familiar, offering a prismatic look at an old friend, seeing them for who they were and who they are, all the goodness of which they’re capable but maybe too shy to show at times.
With VOLUMES: ONE, Vernon begins a new Bon Iver archival series that he’s modeled after Bob Dylan’s iconic Bootleg Series and the ever-delivering Neil Young Archives. The series will present the many eras and facets of Bon Iver, spanning live shows, demos, unreleased recordings, and more. “This particular 10 songs is like, here, if you’ve never heard Bon Iver, or you have and you didn’t like it, this might be for you,” he says.

London-based, Wrexham-raised artist and producer Art School Girlfriend announces her third studio album Lean In, due March 13th via Fiction Records. She also shares new track ‘The Peaks’, and announces a 2026 run of headline dates.
Armed with the freedom and space to experiment, Lean In was self-produced in her own East London studio and sees Art School Girlfriend set to move from cult bedroom artist to one of the UK’s most vital artist/producers operating at the moment, tackling alternative rock, electronic pop & experimental ambient sounds in her most cohesive work to date.
Lean In arrives at a time where her audience has grown exponentially, partly due to her diverse involvement across the music scene at large – contributions to the work of Daniel Avery, Lane 8, Jasper Tygner and Ghostpoet; being chosen by Bonobo to DJ at his Outliers series at Drumsheds; touring the US with both The Japanese House and Marika Hackman; a notable DJ set for HOR; producing and engineering for up-and-coming post-rock band Pencil; the tastemaker curation of her 5-years-in-the-running monthly radio show on Foundation FM.
Self-producing, writing and recording Lean In, Mackey invites the listener to quite literally lean into the world she has built around her. With every detail intentional, this new record is less of a honing of her trademark sound of emotional blend of electronic sounds and shoegaze - and more of an expansion of it. At the top of next year, she will perform these new tracks for the first time on a UK headline tour.
For nearly 30 years, SUNN O))) - Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson - have pushed the boundaries of heavy music, straddling the worlds of the avant-garde and rock to forge a style instantly recognisable as their own. Now, SUNN O))) return with their first album of new material since 2019's acclaimed Pyroclasts. Their tenth album - their debut for Sub Pop - demonstrates the duo's mastery of time and space, light and dark, and their willingness to evolve their unmistakable sound into bold new forms. The eponymously titled SUNN O))) was tracked at Bear Creek Studios, Woodinville, Washington with Brad Wood (HuM, Tar, Sunny Day Real Estate, Liz Phair). This location proved crucial to the recording process. "The vast tracking room had big windows looking out on trees," says O'Malley. "We could go hiking and be out in the woods, spend time outdoors. That became a big part of it." SUNN O))) have long welcomed collaborators into their self-contained world: past work has featured, Attila Csihar (Mayhem), composer Hildur Gudnadóttir, multi-instrumentalist Steve Moore, polymath Mark Deutrom, Silkworm's Tim Midyett and legendary singer-songwriter Scott Walker. But on this album O'Malley and Anderson found fresh possibilities in the primal territory of the duo format, performing all the instrumentation themselves. "What's been happening with our performances over the last couple years with the two of us and no other collaborators has been really fresh and exciting," says Anderson. The compositions on SUNN O))) are expansive and panoramic yet finely detailed, reflecting the arboreal setting in which they were recorded. Amidst howling feedback and glacial crunch, one finds surprisingly delicate moments: a field recording of water trickles beneath, piano interludes lend a hushed, solemn feel. All while the duo attains fresh heights of telepathic intensity as they shape music that breathes the bracing, earthy air of the Pacific Northwest.Framing the album visually are two paintings by the late American artist Mark Rothko. Liner notes are by award-winning British writer Robert Macfarlane, famed for his works concerning landscape and the relationship between humanity and nature. Through the work of the band, Macfarlane, and Rothko, sound, word and visual combine into a fully immersive experience that is undeniably, completely SUNN O))).

The legendary debut studio album from Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham Nicks is the only studio album by Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks as a duo, prior to them joining Fleetwood Mac. Originally released in 1973 and unavailable for decades, the album has been sourced from the original analog master tapes and will be available for the first time on CD. Released on September 5, 1973, Buckingham Nicks quickly faded from commercial view but never disappeared from the cultural conversation. Recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles and produced by Keith Olsen, the album introduced Nicks and Buckingham's tightly wound harmonies and sharply contrasting songwriting voices across 10 tracks-ranging from the folk-rock shimmer of "Crystal" to the sunbaked strut of "Don't Let Me Down Again. "
Bruce Hornsby’s newest album, Indigo Park, is a concept album of sorts, an extended multi-dimensional inquiry into the nature of aging and memory, often with a lightness of tone – the ways certain scenes linger placidly while others balloon into imagined catastrophe, the ways we remember and the ways we forget. Throughout, Hornsby contemplates moments from his deep past, sometimes trying to “resolve” them, other times looking for clues about his present-day outlook.
“It's just an old bastard looking back, while hopefully pushing forward to adventurous and new musical & lyrical areas,” Hornsby says of his new songs, with a smile of characteristic self-deprecation. “To be honest, I've found a way, a path to….grow old gracefully, with help from some newborn friends of mine.”
The album is produced by Tony Berg, Will Maclellan and Bruce Hornsby with contributions from friends including Bob Weir, Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, Bonnie Raitt, Blake Mills & more. Two of the albums ten songs were co-written with the late Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter.
The highly anticipated collaborative album, GOLDFISH, sees two of contemporary hip-hop's most revered and distinct production minds, Hit-Boy and The Alchemist, finally join forces for a full-length statement. Far from a simple beat-swap, this project is a masterclass in sonic cohesion, blurring the lines between their signature sounds to forge a new, golden-hued identity. Beyond production, the duo step from behind the boards to behind the mic to trade verses throughout the project, adding a personal layer to their creative vision. GOLDFISH is a deeply immersive listen, perfectly balancing the West Coast muscle and polished, anthemic quality of Hit-Boy's work with the dusty, abstract texture and cinematic suspense that defines The Alchemist's aesthetic. The result is a sound that feels both street-tested and museum-worthy. A collaborative manifesto, showcasing the infinite possibilities when two generational talents decide to link up, creating an instant classic in the canon of producer/MC albums.1xLP, Gatefold Jacket, Printed Inner Sleeves, Pressed On Clear Vinyl

Bill Withers was a modest, gentle, and yet towering musical figure responsible for some of the most important, universally known soul hits ever written. It's no wonder that "Just the Two of Us" and "Ain't No Sunshine" won him two Grammy awards and undoubtedly played a huge role in getting him inducted into both the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Still Bill is Withers' third studio album and continues to showcase his remarkable versatility, touching upon smooth Philly soul, funk, blues and 70s folk slash singer/songwriter. Upon release the record was both a commercial and critical success and is considered a landmark 1970s R&B record. It features the hit singles "Lean on Me" and "Use Me", as well as "Who Is He (And What Is He to You)?" appearing on the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown. Unsurprisingly, next to Just As I Am, this record also made it into Rolling Stone's list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, coming in at #333. This edition includes booklet featuring a reflective essay on Bill Withers written by Grammy-nominated poet, journalist and humanitarian Kevin Powell. Still Bill is available as a limited edition of 7500 individually numbered copies on translucent green coloured vinyl.

The Devil Wears Pradaas 2013 album 8:18 once again pulled off the neat trick of topping the Pop (#6), Metal (#2), and Christian (#1) charts (the title itself is a reference to the Bible verse Romans 8:18, which says that our present-day suffering pales next to the glory that is to come). Which kinda sums up TDWPas appeal: what other band can shift so seamlessly from moments of visceral madness to spells of spiritual grace? 8:18 marked the swan song for founding band members Chris Rubey and Daniel Williams, and they certainly went out in style; the addition of some hardcore punk (aoBlack & Blue, a? aoNumber Elevena?) and straight metal (aoRumorsa?) ingredients to TDWPas melodic metalcore cauldron makes for a heady brew indeed. This sea blue pressing comes inside a gatefold with beautifully austere artwork plus an insert. A real artistic statement on every level.
POISON RUIN return with their highly anticipated sophomore LP, Hymns From the Hills. Building off the strengths of their existing oeuvre, the band has developed their signature approach to grim mythmaking and scythe-swinging aggression in bold new directions, offering up a new body of songs that strike one as equal parts natural, undeniably of this world, and phantasmal.
The band's vision has grown substantially, pushing well past the tales of peasants and serfs that stood as allegories for contemporary alienation in their previous work: on this newest offering, Their previous stories of toil and dispossession are revealed to be but one chapter etched upon a bleaker tapestry, one populated by spirits traversing sunless deserts and wilted hillsides, demonic torture objects limning the edges of the psyche, bodies transfigured into Luciferian snakes, Sadean prisoners bound to the screaming silence of abandoned castle towers. The record is at once a forceful restatement of POISON RUIN's trademark sound and a departure from it, the crackling, cassette-dubbed darkness and crushing rhythms listeners have become accustomed to buttressed by a carefully sculpted mosaic of new textures, from flourishes of Killing Joke hacksaw primitivism and blast-beats worthy of the Relapse catalogue number to crisp analog synth lines and ambient serenades reminiscent of Scott Walker and The Durutti Column. Like a serpent moving ever outward with spiraling circularity, Hymns From the Hills expands POISON RUIN's sonic landscape in imaginative new directions while maintaining its center of gravity firmly in the band’s already established mythos.
Hymns From the Hills is meticulously composed. Much like the rest of POISON RUIN's body of work, this LP was self-recorded without the use of professional studio equipment. To meet the greater sonic demands of Hymns From the Hills, however, mastermind Mac Kennedy relocated to a private practice space, retiring from his previous routine of squeezing in tracking sessions around the rare moments that the band’s shared practice space happened to be vacant. “Having added time to breathe and really get things right felt crucial this time,†he remarks. “The stress of having to work quickly and at chaotic intervals used to feel productive in a lot of ways, in that it instilled a sort of rough, energetic ethos into the recordings, but I also started to realize that those working habits were becoming an easy way to let myself off the hook from pursuing certain ideas that required a more measured, methodical approach.†To best serve the record’s grander ambitions, the band enlisted the mixing prowess of Jonah Falco (Fucked Up, Career Suicide) and the mastering of Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Trapped Under Ice, Cavalera, Integrity), who helped to elevate the record’s teeming variety of sounds to new heights of self-assured fidelity. Kennedy lent a second hand to the mixing process, splicing in grittier tape recorded segments in order to maintain a certain tonal continuity with the band’s previous work, creating a rich structure of unconventional frictions, crystalline flashes of polish ripping through abysses of hissing low end only to shatter against the whipping sting of rusted chains moments later.
Lyrically, Hymns From The Hills extends both the cynicism and the defiant bravado of POISON RUIN's established fantasy aesthetics. While the record continues POISON RUIN'S tradition of employing medieval-inflected fantasy imagery, Kennedy does not intend for these figures to be read as historically accurate: “I’m not interested in the actual facts of medieval culture, and I’m not trying to draw a sort of literal comparison between peasant life and the political realities of today. Rather, I think in order to really make sense of the present you have to get outside of history altogether, in a certain way—you have to find some sort of mythic language for talking about the spiritual damage that surrounds us, a mythology that can somehow escape the limits on imagination that are imposed upon us. For me, medieval imagery and fantasy aesthetics have always felt like a powerful starting point for creating that sort of mythology. If one is forced to be in Babylon, how can you find a way to live both through it and beyond it?â€
With Hymns From The Hills, POISON RUIN have accomplished a feat of creative labor which few have the courage to entertain, much less the capacity to execute so effectively. They have upped the ante: they have set out to make "The Record". Hymns From The Hills ambitiously rewrites the very rules of what punk is capable of achieving, pushing POISON RUIN's sound into expansive new terrains without sacrificing an ounce of the bleak symbolism and uncompromising aggression that first established them as an urgent new voice in the world of extreme music.

On The Beths' new album Expert In A Dying Field, Elizabeth Stokes' songwriting positions her somewhere between being a novelist and a documentarian. The songs collected here are autobiographical, but they're also character sketches of relationships and more importantly, their aftermaths. The third LP from the New Zealand quartet houses 12 jewels of tight, guitar-heavy songs that worm their way into your head, an incandescent collision of power-pop and skuzz.
Acclaimed songwriter Maria Taylor, best known for her work with Azure Ray, returns with her forthcoming album Story’s End, a hushed, cinematic collection that unfolds like an intimate narrative of loss, healing, and quiet transformation. Featuring contributions from Mike Mogis, Conor Oberst, Nate Walcott, and Ben Brodin, the album pairs Taylor’s intimate vocals with widescreen strings, bell-like piano, and atmospheric arrangements.
Laufey’s deluxe album, A Matter of Time: The Final Hour, is the closing chapter of her beautiful, critically acclaimed, and GRAMMY® Award-winning third album, A Matter of Time. With four new songs, this 19-track deluxe album is an introspection about learning to live with one’s anxieties - embracing uncertainty, accepting the passage of time, and finding calm after the storm.
Hope and Fury is the new studio album by Grammy-winning artist Joe Jackson, written and recorded between Berlin and New York City.
The album features nine new songs performed with Jackson’s longtime band – Graham Maby (bass), Teddy Kumpel (guitar), Doug Yowell (drums) – and Peruvian percussionist Paulo Stagnaro.
Produced by Joe Jackson with Patrick Dillett, Hope and Fury marks a return to what Jackson calls his “own mainstream”: sophisticated pop songs drawing from rock, jazz, funk, and Latin influences – or, in his words, “Bicoastal LatinJazzFunkRock.”
Opening track “Welcome to Burning-By-Sea” describes a fictional seaside town inspired Jackson’s hometown Portsmouth – a sharp portrait that becomes a microcosm of an entire country. “End of the Pier” contrasts British life in 1922 with its post-pandemic reflection a century later, while “I’m Not Sorry,” “Fabulous People,” and “Do Do Do” showcase Jackson’s trademark humour, from biting sarcasm to playful mockery. Other highlights include the bittersweet “Made God Laugh” and the tender closing ballad “See You In September.”
Musically, Hope and Fury recalls the spirit of 1982’s Night and Day, 1991’s Laughter and Lust, and 2019’s Fool. Like those albums, it overflows with great tunes, clever lyrics, and groove – with Jackson’s vocals and keyboard playing as strong as ever.

In 2005, Andrew Bird was a previously unimaginable combination of virtuoso violinist, singer-songwriter, guitarist, and whistler. With that year's album The Mysterious Production of Eggs, his second on Righteous Babe Records, Bird minted a new sound that continues to be imitated and set down classic songs that still anchor many a live performance. The recording sessions lived up to the name when he recorded and scrapped the album three times, traveling between studios in Chicago, Los Angeles and his own home studio on a farm in Northern Illinois. The mystery was solved with the aid of David Boucher, whose studio credits at the time included Paul Westerberg, Lisa Loeb, and Randy Newman. Bird played most of the instruments on Mysterious Production of Eggs, joined by a handful of special guests complimenting his already lush sonic palette. The result was a powerhouse of a record dealing with nothing less than the mysteries of childhood, creativity and modern science-epic in scope and minute in detail.

Polylined inner sleeve in gatefold outer sleeve. Tom Jenkinson, aka Squarepusher, presents Kammerkonzert, a riot of onyx-hard, hyperfast riffs, fiendish orchestral themes, and handbrake turns through varieties of progressive, ambient, electronic andexperimental music. The singular producer, experimental musician and creator of futuristic forms of fusion, has a three-decade-long back catalogue studded with a variety of jewel-like records. From the furious breakbeat acid and pulverising live bass guitar attack of Feed Me Weird Things (1996) to the literal and self-explanatory Music For Robots (2014) via the virtuosic live showcase of Solo Electric Bass 1 (2009) and the otherworldly concrète jazz of Ultravisitor (2004) few contemporary musicians have covered as much ground in as sure-footed a manner. But despite this reach, his three decade output is only typified by two things: unpredictability and rule breaking. Given that his new album on Warp, Kammerkonzert, is essentially a chamber concerto with Jenkinson himself playing all of the parts it's safe to say he has come a long way since his crystalline drum & bass debut for the label in 1996, Port Rhombus EP. Twenty-one albums in, Kammerkonzert is the start of a new era for Squarepusher as a composer.

Vinyl LP pressing. As a musician, Ice-Tplayed a major role in the creation of the gangsta incarnation of hip-hop music and was a colossus of the West Coast hip-hop scene, despite his East Coast, greater New York, origins. Though his music displays a political consciousness, like the indictments of racism that were a hallmark of seminal hip-hop groupPublic Enemy, it also is nihilistic as befits a chronicler of street life. The charismatic Ice-T has also achieved success as an actor in movies and on TV. He plays Detective Odafin Tutuola on the TV seriesLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit.

With their fourth full-length album Signal Fire, GENGHIS TRON awaken us from the post-apocalyptic daydreams of their previous work with a violent—and most welcome—shove. This time, the distant-future reveries we first heard on Board Up The House give way to an unsettling awareness of the present we’re actually living, as our circumstances grow too pressing to try and escape.
“Signal Fire envisions a Kojima-esque dystopia of endless proxy warfare,” says vocalist and lyricist Tony Wolski (The Armed), “where the deluge of available information has outmoded the human ability to parse it. A world where those amoral, shameless and cunning enough can literally reshape reality at their whim through sheer insistence."
Having roared onto the scene in 2004 with a uniquely demented blend of extreme metal, synthesizer textures, and drum-machine madness, GENGHIS TRON are no strangers to making a forceful impression. But Signal Fire marks the first time bandleaders Michael Sochynsky and Hamilton Jordan –joined again by Wolski and Nick Yacyshyn (SUMAC) on drums, plus newcomer Kenny Szymanski (The Armed) on bass–has captured this level of urgency with such visceral precision. “This album is very much rooted in the now,” confirms Jordan.
Album opener “I Am All” sets the table with a chest-throbbing synth pulse as Wolski declares “I’m on a tear, I’m on a tear,” over swirling industrial rhythms and creeping synthlines. “Nothing Blooms in the Hollow” grafts desert-rock swagger onto interlocking layers of dizzying riffs and chants before Wolski steers the band into full-on sonic burnout, like a spaceship careening into the sun. “Born Prey” navigates deftly through Genghis Tron’s classic sonic touchpoints: furious blastbeats, electronic breaks, haunting vocal earworms, and a towering synth-pop crescendo. Meditative interludes like “Like Fotocrom” and “Without Form” deliver shimmering, ominous beauty. And “New Gods” invokes Rabies-era Skinny Puppy to bring the album to a bludgeoning, anthemic finale, as Wolski screams on repeat: “New gods to bleed me out / No new peace / Bleed me out / I love it.”
Twenty years into their career, having proven their ability to forge common ground between Ministry and Aphex Twin, between Brutal Truth and Boards Of Canada, between Cluster and Converge, ugly-beautiful new genre hybrids from GENGHIS TRON no longer come as a surprise. What’s remarkable, however, is how Sochynsky and Jordan have taken a project that started in 2004 as a dorm-room genre-pastiche experiment —”a chaotic, wild amalgamation of all our favorite stuff, literally slammed together,” says Jordan—and refined their songwriting craft to deliver a sound that is unmistakably their own.
