Reviews:

A-listers boogied their way to the top of the box office in the '80s (Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Flashdance), but the last decade or so has been either overly serious about its groove (Save the Last Dance) or unintentionally ridiculous (You Got Served). The most recent crop of street dance epics, Step Up 2 the Streets included, favors visceral production value to match the physicality being celebrated, a big step in the right direction.
