Aziza Jalal, born in 1958 in Meknes, Morocco, is a renowned Moroccan singer from the 1970s and 1980s. She began her career by participating in music competitions and quickly gained attention for her soft and melodic voice. Aziza achieved great success across the Arab world with songs like Mestaniyak and Habaytouh.She collaborated with leading Arab composers and rose to fame in Egypt, becoming a star of romantic music. In 1985, at the peak of her career, Aziza surprised everyone by retiring from music after her marriage. After more than 30 years of absence, she made a quiet comeback in 2019 at a festival in Saudi Arabia.
