Carol Welsman, her eponymous Justin Time debut, was produced by Yellowjackets Jimmy Haslip, also the album's bassist. Without question, this is Welsman's breakout recording, one that will establish her as a major recording artists. It's a pop record with strong Latin and jazz sensibilities and features guest saxophonists Vern Dorge and Eric Marienthal, as well as guitarist Pierre Cote.
