11/23/18 Weekly Newsletter: Black Friday, New Releases, and THANKS
Hope everyone's holiday week has gotten off to an especially thankful start. We'll be taking the day off tomorrow, so we're getting things in line for Friday now. All the shipments that are gonna get here before Friday are in, so we can officially post our full stock list of Black Friday exclusives. You can see the full list of titles we receivedHERE. You can also find the list as well as 11/23 standard new releases below.
Doors open at 7 am on Friday, so we'll be here bright and early with all the coffee and donuts you need to work off your literal and/or figurative Thanksgiving hangover.
Here are the full details for Friday (and Saturday!):
All the Record Store Day exclusives you want starting at 7 am.
Oddly Correct coffee and Hana's Donuts until they're gone!
Swag bags stuffed with promo copies, promo merch, and other goodies to the first 100 customers.
$250Store Credit Enter-to-Win (!)
Ticket giveaways and enter to win for other deluxe prizes
Loads of used vinyl rarities and classics. Fresh used out at noon on Friday, another drop of 500 at 5 pm on Friday and fresh batch of 500 on Shop Small Saturday at 10 am.
That's right, you'll have a chance to enter to win $250 (yep, two-fifty) in store credit. The ballot box will be open Friday through Sunday, so make sure to stop in at the very least and enter! Free money!
We've also got tons of new prize packs put together with all kinds of great promo goodies. You'll be able to enter to win those in store all weekend. Additionally, we've got loads of new ticket giveaways, including chances to see Chvrches, Kurt Vile, Trampled By Turtles, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and MORE. You know we always got the ticket hookup.
While the RSD Black Friday exclusives alone are enough reason to get out of bed, it's also a traditional new release Friday, with plenty of cool non-exclusive releases to peruse. For starters, we'll have Mac Miller's anticipated final album Swimming available on wax, as well as new music from Hippo Campus. The expanded soundtrack to the 1984 David Byrne film True Stories (different and more loaded than the Heads' studio album of the same name) and the New Kids on the Block Christmas album top it all off. These releases will be in their usual spots on the browsers and back wall!
Of course, after Black Friday comes Shop Small Saturday, and there are a couple cool special releases out that day only, as well, including limited records from the likes of Ben Folds and Ingrid Michaelson (not to mention tote bags and other great giveaways with purchase!)
Now, for a few store policies for Black Friday:
First, you can have as many individual exclusive titles you want on Friday morning, but you will be limited to one copy of each title. No doubles, triples, etc. This goes for RSD exclusives only.
Secondly, a note on gift cards: we truly appreciate your loyalty and continued support of the store. Since Black Friday is such a busy day, we are not able to redeem gift cards on Black Friday Thanks for your support, and we look forward to seeing see you when you cash-in those GC’s in the future.
Now, take another look over the list and make a game plan. We'll see you bright and early Friday!
Thanks and thanks and thanks, Dylan, Judy, and the Team
