Record Store Day 2014 at Mills Record Company

Record Store Day - Mills Record Company

Since its inception in 2007, Record Store Day has become a holiday for music fanatics around the globe. April 19, 2014 marks the 7th annual celebration, and the place to be in Kansas City for all things Record Store Day is Mills Record Company.

Opening at 8am, Mills Record Company will be providing free coffee from Oddly Correct and fresh donuts from Hana’s. Starting around noon, The Midwestern Musical Company is sponsoring the Block Party that will include live performances from some of the best local bands including Expo ’70, Bummer, Metatone, The Caves, Lazy, Rev Gusto, The Bad Ideas, Red Kate, Keef Mountain, Heartfelt Anarchy and Burial Teens. If you think that list is impressive, just hang round – we get the feeling more acts will be added!

Coffee, donuts and local music … and did we mention food trucks? On top of all that, we’ll have plenty of ticket giveaways throughout the day, too.

Oh, and don’t forget the reason why we’re all gathering together on April 19: RECORD STORE DAY! Mills Record Company will be stocked full of RSD Exclusives. If you haven’t seen the list yet, check it out here. Keep your eyes peeled to MillsRecordCompany.com for more info of what releases we’ll have.

And to stay on top of everything that’s going on, make sure to join the official Facebook event for Record Store Day at Mills Record Company.
